But in all seriousness, I could use some 5.56 suggestions for Daniel Defense quality without the Daniel Defense prices. I have one carbine but want another something.
The short short barrels are brutal from a shooting experience IMHO. 10.5" is about as short that seems to still be ok to shoot - strictly an opinion. And then who knows where BATF will go on brace interpretation. I think the MK18 is the way to go w/ tax stamp.
I got to see and shoot a Geissele URGI 14.5 with the pinned flash hider and I have to say, fit, finish and feel was right up there. Just a cool factor even on a plane jane lower. That's probably on the list to buy once we are through this mess.
I personally believe all the quality worth paying a premium for is in the barrel, BCG, and upper. The lower is comprised of commodity items with exception of the trigger. But in all seriousness, I could use some 5.56 suggestions for Daniel Defense quality without the Daniel Defense prices. So - if you are halfway handy, then a good option might very well be to build your ideal lower - and add a high quality trigger (like this one) then buy the highest quality complete upper that floats your boat (like this one). Add optics/sights to taste.
DD M4A1 Block 2 upper looks awesome! I might have to go with this:But in all seriousness, I could use some 5.56 suggestions for Daniel Defense quality without the Daniel Defense prices. I have one carbine but want another something.
BCM (Bravo Company Machine), Colt 6920 or 6720, LMT if you can find'em, Geissele. Aero Precision is making some good stuff now a days. Tough time to be looking though. But in all seriousness, I could use some 5.56 suggestions for Daniel Defense quality without the Daniel Defense prices. I have one carbine but want another something.

I think I used to carry ol' #10 when I was Sergeant of the Guard!
Actually got the email on Thursday last week, saying I had been seledged. Called CMP ON Monday and picked up from FFL on Wednesday.Wow, so it took that long to get to you? Neat piece of history. I'm assuming there are online resources to research the serial number, no?
Needed a pic of rounds in the magazine backwards. HK. Because you suck, and we hate you. This took about a year to make happen, and I wasn't sure if I would actually build it until the bayonet lug (not airsoft) became available. Finding the correct optic in stock and at .mil pricing ended up sealing the deal. Still waiting on the ambi safety levers, but close enough for now.
