Or the ship in general. While inport, I took my ring off every day after coming aboard. While underway, the ring stayed off till I crossed the brow after coming back in.

Concur with Steve(x2). My wedding ring is never worn aboard ship, and comes off as soon as I enter the hangar when I'm feet-dry. My wife knows I do this, and agrees 100%.

Besides, I'm rotortrash, so I'm sure I'd get a stupid callsign out of it. (Rotorheads will name you something much more original than "Shocker.")

I just barely escaped spilling coffee all over my khakis from laughing so hard at this....nicely done.

C'mon, how else will anyone know you're a giant, raging douche from 30 feet away?

While we're on the topic, could the military please ban those godawful ginormous class rings that some colleges, or should I say institutions, seem to be known for? You know who you are. Umm...garish and eccentric, anyone?

It's like some perverse brass-knuckle arms race.

You are just jealous.

Though I will agree that the VMI and Norwich rings are obnoxious, they are obscenely large.
