A number of news feeds reporting that PMRF is receiving a P-8 for range support. Apparently the first P-8A accepted by USN.

I'm sure detailers will find much difficulty finding crews!!!

To be stationed there, or just to provide support? I think it’s unlikely that they would station even a det there. We would frequently solicit support from the KBay det for test events. Those aren’t frequent enough to justify basing aircraft at PMRF. Can you provide a link to what you’re seeing?

This checks out and is nothing new. VX-30 had supported PMRF with P-3 and C-130.
