Navy or Marine option?

For the OP, don't you have to specify which option you're applying for, and don't you know what you'll be going to college as initially when you get the scholarship?

You can switch, though once you're established in the unit, which is what I took him to mean.

All I was getting at was, it sounded like he had gotten the scholarship but didn't know if he was going to be Navy or Marine option.

I'm all for people starting out Navy then switching if they want to. While some people were naturals from day one, we had a lot of quitters (scholarship and CP) who were in the Marine program from the start and really just didn't realize what they were getting into. On the other hand, the people who started Navy, got a feel for what we did, then did a "trial" semester or two knew what it was about and generally liked it and performed well. Some of the top graduates we had while I was in college originally started out as Navy option.

I hear you. There's a lot more crap to have to go through as a MO.
