Newby question of Drug Use

This isn't a question that can really be even answered here anyway.

All you are going to get from here is anecdotal evidence at best. The only person who can tell you yes or no or whatever will be the appropriate officer recruiter for the branch of service you are looking in to.

Put a strong package together and apply. If you are meant to fly in the USMC, things will fall in place.

This should not even be a thread, though I comment on most of these. The question "what should I do?" is a no-brainer. Admit it. Worst they can say is no. A better question is, is a one time experimental use a deal-breaker? No. I admitted to MJ use, more than once. I'm a Navy Pilot. Answer your questions?

You'd be surprised. In my experience talking with people, I'd say >50% had some kind of drug use before joining the military.

Concur... I did PRP screening while in E-6s and most officers had experimented with MJ back in the day. For me it was pretty easy not to even experiment. My older brother is an addict and I have watched it destroy him for the past 30+ years. He is so messed up now. The drugs altered his brain chemistry and he resides in a mental hospital as a ward of the state.
