TA,

Right on. Cool to hear.

I saw you posted on the ocs website (navyocs.org) as well. Funny how quiet those forums are haha.

Good luck man.

Yea, I really enjoy both sites. Meet pretty cool people on both. From ones in the same situation as me to members that have retired already. Been a great experience so far. Look forward to the future. Hope I will meet some of you guys one day. Serve together

Lose Weight!!?? I've already lost 20lbs to meet the weight requirement. Lost a ton of muscle mass. If I lose anymore I may disappear when I turn sideways

Haha well standby. Starvation and worthless PT awaits you.

Side note: My form partner from advanced was a kicker for Boise State and then played for the Seattle Seahawks.

Past 8 years working in professional sports working with operations and logistics of equipment and personnel globally. I have hired, supervised personnel and lead teams from 20 to 200. Been responsible for budget management in upwards of a million dollars. Critical important decisions are the norm and for some reason I thrive on that kind of pressure making SWO the path for me. (Yes I have read the SWO forums ha)

I guess you could say that I'm the "old guy" out of the bunch but I'm young enough to qualify. I have worked my tail off to get here. I know I am well rounded and believe confidently in my packet. Just wanted some feedback.

Thanks!

But NICE man! I set a PR yesterday with 3-rep push press at 205, and was STOKED! We also did 7 mintues of heaven....... of straight BURPEES O_O.

132 burpees in 7 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I about damn near fell over and had a heart attack when it was over though...

That attitude right there, is what will get people far anywhere in life... No matter what anyone else says.

Thanks on the congrats. We are running paleo, and I am (trying-hehehe:p ) to stick with it. So far I've lost about 20 lbs since my whole application process began, to prepare for the storm thats coming my way. What box are you out of?

I honestly think your packet is very solid. Great leadership skills, good professionalism. Don't stress about the GPA. I was in your same boat. I tore my ACL and meniscus.... playing stupid FLAG FOOTBALL (I go 18 years of playing regular, smash-mouth football without a single injury) I go out to play flag football, and my knee blows up - _-. Two weeks after that I was involved in two major car accidents. Life was HELL for me my fall senior semester, but I came back out of the hole I dug and graduated back on the Dean's List. I was selected to become an SNA, and currently on stand-by for my FS letter.

Make sure you spend a lot of time up here, and rely on your fellow "future shipmates," for information. This process is very long, and is one hell of a waiting game. Share information amongst others, and keep close the camaraderie with everyone, as you all very well may be in the same class.
