October 13, 2019 OCS Class

First time posting. I believe I am in this class, my OR is shooting for this board. I still need to take the OAR and complete MEPS.

Maybe I am in the wrong post. Is this the date you go to OCS or board selection?

Looking at the class schedules I believe are class (5-20) will be the first class that will go through the new 13 week OCS.

So why did they add another week?

From the CNRC February 2019 OPO Brief:

"•Program expands to 13-weeks staring in October 2019
•Inclusion of Cyber Training, additional Conning Officer Virtual Environment simulator time, more Leadership and Ethics."

"•13-week OCS program:
–Allow more time to complete required training and in/out processing to the Fleet."

Yeah you'll do it inside if it's bad enough. They actually take that pretty seriously.
