Officer Requirements/Acceptance

My son is graduating Naval Basic Tr. later this month. I just received a letter from him asking me to send all of the information I could find on becoming an Officer and how to get accepted to one of the academies.

He is currently scheduled to go into pre-BUDs training then onto BUDs, not sure why he is asking for this information, but want to get it to him ASAP.

I'm not sure what to send to him? Any help is very appreciated!!

As far as the Academies go, have him go to each individual Academies' web-site and fill out the preliminary application. The Naval Academy's can be found here:

I'll let someone with more knowledge than me answer the rest.
