I was wondering when all the guys getting commissioned this May were getting orders to report down to API. Anyone get orders yet? If yes, then when are you classing up? I know a guy in the class of '04 who is starting API in a week...meaning he was stashed for 10 months. I just want to know if I should start preparing myself to be in semi-permanent stash status.

no one here on the site will be able to give you a solid answer. Likewise, no one at API will be able to give you a solid answer. The way they pick who classes up every week, is they have a big board with all the A-pooler's name on it. A monkey then craps in his hand and throws the crap. Whoever it hits, that is who classes up. This process is repeated until they have a full class.
In all honesty, they may tell you that you will class up "next week" about 50 times b4 you actually do. Just go down to Pcola, enjoy the white trash and relax at the bars.

Got my orders about a month ago
I'm graduating and being commissioned in May and I got my orders about three weeks ago. Getting married in July, so they are TAD to P-cola with follow on PCS to Whiting. Right now I report no later 5 Aug and am supposed to finish API NLT 5 Dec (six weeks of school squeezed into 4 months, sounds like I'll be busy....)

Right now I report no later 5 Aug and am supposed to finish API NLT 5 Dec (six weeks of school squeezed into 4 months, sounds like I'll be busy....)

I was told today that my report date is 1 July. I know that seems early, but my class officer told me today that since I'm already doing IFS right now, I should expect to transfer to Pcola immediately after grad. in May. He also said that report dates are one thing, but an API start date is something totally different. (obviously) So, as far as I know, my orders should be coming soon, and I wasn't told anything about follow-on duty location for Primary. Besides, for some reason, the rest of the SNA's are sticking around the unit here until about August or so. Good luck to all, and if anyone has a similar report date....let me know! adios

SNA getting commissioned in May... no orders. The guys from last year in our unit got them in the middle or near the end of April, so I'm not too worried.
Yeah, when I got commissioned in May of last year I recieved my orders in late April, I had a month of stash duty then reported to Pcola in June, and didn't start API til late Oct. Like bch said, school/report dates don't mean a thing. They'll almost certainly change before you get there and once you're there. Welcome to the Navy.
