Yeah, we had the same thing... I just told the Navy I didn't care, but since they're trying to get NFOs through the program pretty fast I guess they put me in for an early slot. After talking to our XO, it seems I can detach any time in late June, as long as I report in on time. I figure I'll get all my business in order, including find a place down there, before I think about detaching.
Any other SNFO's get their orders yet?

no orders yet...but I do have a report date. 1 July! who else has the same, as far as they know?? I'd like to find a roommate or two that's going down there about the same time. Any takers?? I've looked into it and noticed that a decent 3 bedroom will run about $950-1100/mo. That's not bad. Like I said, if anyone's interested in sharing the rent...drop me a line.

Although I don't have my orders, I do know my report date is 1 July.

have any of you started IFS yet? The FO's and myself are doing it right now before we transfer to pcola. I just wanna see if this is what other units are doing.

Yeah, I got the email. I talked to the doc I was seeing back in Jax and he said that it may be possible to get me straightened some, but it would take a while. I'm not sure if I want to sit around here for 3 or 4 extra months, maybe longer, waiting for them to possibly fix me. In the meantime, they are going to class me up next Friday to do just the academics and I'll do the all the pool stuff later if I can get past NOMI. What really pisses me off is that this wasn't picked up on when I did my physical back in Jax.

Hey man don't bash the candy watch... you provide a great service (half of us would starve without you guys) and can get recognized for your hard work too (I have a friend who did such a great job there, he got promoted to working the COs golf tournament... He got to tool around with golf carts). Things could be worse- you could get IMT or West Florida cleanup...

Besides I am sure you've got plenty of time left over to go to the beach... every nice day... and Maguires, and Seville and Florabama (I hear its open now)

I haven't had the pleasure of standing the candy watch. I just can't believe that's an actual watch here. And no, the Florabama isn't open yet. In fact, there was a news story last week about the building being bulldozed. The Mullett Toss is happening this weekend though.
