I'm waiting for the assault weapon ban to lift this fall... then I'm going to get a nice M-4 carbine with the flash supressor and a bayonett. Why do I need the bayonett? Just to piss off my hippie roommate.

My bust I thought we were just talking about pistols in general not carrying. No I dont really see a need to carry a weapon, guess I still believe in civilization after seeing the barbaric parts of the world

Yeah, I'm planning on building an M4orgery. Collapsable stock, flash hider, bayonet lug. Can't wait. Stupid ban is trash.

Speaking of bayonets, I need to get one for my M1. Why? Just because I can.

i think its great for women (CCW) its already saved my wife's life during a drive from P'Cola to Dallas. This was before her CCW but i told her to carry it anyways, most cops dont think a woman with a baby in the back is packing heat. i like it this way also if a punk is gonna do something to us he's gonna want to neutralize me first and while thats being attempted my wife can pop him one.

Washington, DC isn't too civilized if you ask me... neither is New York City... both places where carrying is prohibited.

Yeah, I'm a big supporter of women carrying. My ex-girlfriend is getting her License to Carry in Massachusetts. I'm helping her along. She doesn't live in the best city.

Nothing like those liberal pantywastes that tell women to carry CONDOMS instead of a weapon, in case they are raped.

Ive been to both often, never had a problem at the risk of starting a serious sh@t storm (can't believe I'm going to do this) I think the assault weapon ban is a good thing there is no reason a private citizen needs military firepower. I am in favor of the 2nd amendment, own a handgun and though I choose not to hunt I am very much in favor of hunting and the like but come on does anyone outside of the professionals need an M-4? just my two cents so roll in hot if you must

just because we can... that is the only reason. I want to own an M-4 with all the niceties.... why shouldn't I be able to? Isn't that what this country is founded on? I am no more dangerous with an M-4 than with an old Marlin 22 bolt action.

If we want to play the safety route... make everyone use public transportation, people with cars are much more dangerous than people with guns.

Well, you've obviously used military weapons, so you should also know there isn't a single thing different about military-PATTERNED rifles than from other "normal" semi-automatic rifles. The M-4 we're talking about is purely semi-auto. I don't have the money to buy full-auto, WAAAAAAAAY TOO PRICEY!! Do I need to mention that the AR-15 pattern of rifle is the most popular used in shooting competitions across the nation? Why? Becuase they're insanely customizable and easy to use. I'll ask the classic question, why does anyone need to drive a Corvette? No one needs to go that fast, PERIOD. So what? Not about need. And the 2nd isn't about hunting. Never was.

Do you know what the Assault Weapon Ban is? It's completely cosmetic. My AR-15 doesn't have a flash hider or a bayonet lug. That's what was banned. It's NO DIFFERENT from a pre-ban, functionality wise. Same exact rifle. Why would you ban looks? It's like banning wings on ricers (even though they're highly annoying, it doesn't make sense, does it).

If you don't see a point to them, well fine. But don't tell me I can't have one, or anyone else. That's the whole idea, you see? The entire class of weapons are mostly intermediate cartridges too. Hate to break it to you, but that .30-06 hunting rifle is MUCH more powerful than that 5.56mm AR-15. (I know you know this, just making a point).

Why does something like that scare you? The problem isn't the rifle. It's the people.

Honestly, I don't know why you guys rave about the glock. I've shot a few and wasn't impressed... but thats just me. SIGs are very nice, pretty pricey tho.

I never was a fan of the 1911 until recently when I shot a Para-Ord LDA and was impressed. It'll probably be my next project.

I just hope SIG and HK release semi versions of the SIG 550 and the HK G36 when the ban dies. Of course, they'll cost an ARM and a LEG. With factories in the USA they should be able to do it. I know they can't import them due to the 1989 ban.

Sure it's the follower? Do you have a weak magazine spring? You said it's a failure to feed right? If your other shots are fine, you probably aren't limp wristing. I know certain Glocks have been finicky with JHP rounds. What are you using for JHP?

Yup, my buddy has the 19 and it happens to him with every mag. Also, I've talked to enough people that also have the problem to get the point that it isn't just me limp wristing. Also, it only with the current stock followers, apparently Glock has new ones that eliminate the problem (9mm3's) but just haven't gotten around to installing them stock. You gotta call 'em up and complain etc. to get them sent to you. Like I said before, not a big deal but when I'm dropping hard earned cash, I expect, at the least, a weapon without any known deficiencies(sp?) Still prolly will just sack up and buy it and get Glock to send me the new followers. Or go with the .40, it changes with the hour.

As far as rounds go, I prefer Speer Gold Dots, while my buddy likes to run Federal Hydrashocks through for self-defense. Wal-Mart suffices for range ammo.

Range ammo I buy CCI Blazer, REAL cheap from Natchez Shooter Supply. My self-defense is Winchester Ranger-T.
