Answers to a couple questions
First find your closest Navy/Marine recruiter. Talk to him/her about your interest in the flight program and they should be able to help you with info leading up to a commission in either branch with a flight contract. You have to take the ASTB which consists of math/verbal, mechanical, aviation/nautical, & spatial apperception sections. The required scores for the branches differ, I think the Navy's being slightly higher, but the Marine Corps has more rigorous physical standards. I'm bias towards the Marines; my dad was a Huey pilot and I grew up knowing a bunch of Marines. From my point of view, there is no better service. Okay, the gouge listed all over this site helps out with different tests, etc. There are plenty of study materials and plenty of people who've posted threads that have just taken the ASTB. There is a cut-off age for flight school and there is almost no doubt that you'll have to get a waiver for something. Check out the nomi website and also the OCS website for more info. http://www.nomi.med.navy.mil/nami/waiverguidetopics/index.htm
