At least that's what my recruiter told me..

Famous last words.....for BDCP types (with the exception of some of the nukes), it's E-5 pay up to and through OCS.

doesnt it depend of certain things? I thought that it was E-4 and if you get deans list or something like that two times they up it to E-5.

My recruiter said I'd only have to study for a few hours a week in the nuke pipeline and the rest of the time would be mine. He was smoking crack. :censored_

That's so interesting! Not only would I get to help make history, my recruiter said, but I could skip to Advanced Flight training because I already have 100 hours in a C-172!! These guys are great! :D

:icon_tong No, in fact, I haven't really got a lot of info from my recruiter... most of the stuff I have learned about the process, OCS, and flight training has been from this website!:)

So about this, does it happen automatically, or do you have to call DFAS or something? I graduated on May 7th, and still haven't started getting E-5 pay. My last three paychecks have still be for E-3 rate.

I don't see any reason why it would happen automatically. Each time I've gotten a promotion, I contacted my recruiter who, in turn, contacted the processor. Take control of the situation, unless you prefer E-3 pay.:D

I guess I'll get on the horn with my recruiter and DFAS tomorrow to see what's going on. Hope I don't miss out on the three paychecks worth of backpay. Grrr. Welcome to the government. :icon_rage
