Pay between graduation and OCS

We had a few Engineer type in OCS who got E-6 pay. One of them recruited his girlfriend and was "promoted" to E-7 pay up to and through OCS. Just to make these bad for him.... a lot of us called him Chief when the DIs or Class CPOs were close by.

Would you start recieving this pay after you have been selected by the board?

After receiving final selection and swearing in....

Those "promotions" are a pretty sweet deal. They can work out to be over a hundred bucks a month. That's a lot of booze and hooker money.
