You guys that are reporting FEB 1st, are you gonna check in that day? I'm thinking of reporting on the 31st if I'm settled in for the most part @ my place... just to get it out of the way... I'm super nervous... I don't know why...

The movers are literally packing my stuff up around me as I type this. Ice, I think I'm gonna check in 0730 on 01 Feb. Let me know how it goes if you do it the day before!

I just got down here a few weeks ago...I'm Air Force. You won't be doing much around here especially if you are a Pilot, you will be waiting around for about 6 months or so before getting into API.

Good luck on finding a place to live, I ended up going to the housing office on the base and found a house to rent by the back gate. All the apartments were booked and had very long waiting lists. If you have any questions about where to live shoot me an email.

Apartments are hard, but doable. I actually have two set up for me right now in case anyone wants me to let 'em know when I call to cancel one ;D

Not that you can really do anything about it now, but they told me today that they would have charged me leave if I had checked in tomorrow (2/1). So, you may be charged a day of leave. I was very nervous also, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Basically, get your orders stamped, hour long brief, and go to PSD. Many, many forms to fill out. Bring a black pen! The only bad part is PSD, and only because I hate paperwork. The stashed Ensigns are pretty much in charge of the whole check-in process, and they are all pretty cool. Good luck...
