Good luck to everyone! Let me know if you have any questions as the process is still fresh with me!
I didn’t practice at all. I flew R/C airplanes my whole life which probably helped my hand-eye coordination. You can always ask your recruiter if they can let you practice, I’m not sure if they can though!- What did you do to practice for the Joystick & throttle portion?
Really the only thing that'll help you is practicing with an inverted Y-axis. Other than that, it's gonna be a shit show.- What did you do to practice for the Joystick & throttle portion?
Inverted as in consistent with pitch control for aircraft. The whole time during that part I was telling myself “this is a fun disaster, can’t wait to retake it”Really the only thing that'll help you is practicing with an inverted Y-axis. Other than that, it's gonna be a shit show.
I think I messed up mostly on the listening part, got the clutch and trigger for the prime and odd numbers wrong. When it came time for the emegencies, I wrote them down, did the short practice they give you, and it went straight to the grading and never did the actual emergencies which I was like okay what the hell happened? Even though I’m a private pilot and fly sims alot, I still found it hard af to track the vertical airplane and the overall experience was overwhelming. What were scores first time around and then second time?I tripped up on the emergencies too. It says in small writing toward the end that there isn’t a practice session for that part.
I got a little too “involved” on the joystick part my first time taking the test and ended up unplugging the joystick from the computer. Whoops.
6/3/5 to 7/7/7What were scores first time around and then second time?
Any idea which portion bumps the scores the most?6/3/5 to 7/7/7
