We've beaten this to death. Avoid NMMI. Doesn't give you an advantage plebe year over other prep kids and it just overall sucks.
Just as another side - went to EI with my Economics teacher today and it came up that I went to prep school at Peddie. He immediately recognized the name and knew all about the school; he went to one of our rivals in PA. You can tell this guy has been in the higher economic circles this country has to offer, so I was impressed at the name recognition he had. Just harkening back to what I said earlier... I haven't found a true negative effect of being a Foundation Student here at USNA...
