Hey ya'll, my recruiter says my FINSEL is up, but it is grey with no date, so it's my 60 day warning. No class yet.

That is exactly what he said, which I do not know if that means my date will be assigned within 60 days or my class is within 60 days. He will let me know as soon as he finds out, but is guessing I will be in a January class.

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm just checking in..rather late, haha. I didn't realize there was a thread on here before today, and I sure am glad I stumbled upon it. I'm Tim, from Coastal New Hampshire. I just graduated from the University of New Hampshire this past May with degree in Communication and prior to that I earned an assoc. in Audio Engineering. I too was selected like all of y'all in the previous 24 Aug. SWO board meeting and am just as excited and anxious as everyone else is. I originally wanted to fly, but as I found out by the kind-hearted eye examiner at MEPS, I have no depth perception. That wasn't the end of the road for me though because I currently work and have worked on a passenger vessel for the past 4 years as a first mate. Boating is more than a passion for me, it's a way of life. Anyhow, enough about me. Let's get these FINSEL's to come in for crying out loud!

Welcome aboard Tim. You will be delighted to hear that several of us from the August Board have already received our FINSELS, meaning yours can't be far away.

That's excellent news! My recruiter and i accidentally got ahead of ourselves last week and signed my contract and swore in. Oops! hahaha, apparently that wasn't supposed to have happened. So hopefully I do it again soon.. for real this time. When are your dates?

January 03 seems to be the class date for the majority of us from the August Board, but there is always a chance you may go to a later class. Keep your chin up
