I know you mentioned that video being "thrown together" in another thread. You have some awesome footage and good syncing with the music, I think it's great.

Good choice with Plow by Sponge, really adds to the feeling.

Combating TIP training AGAIN?!
Great video! On a side note, everytime I watch Prowler vids, I always look out for the lap patch I made on one of the IFR probes. I used some really thick aluminum and huge button-head rivets...it came out looking like a giant studded c#*k ring. :D

Nice job. Made me miss the flying even more (3 years now and counting). Small question. Was the desert takeoff footage from Al Asad? After a year there, I was pretty sure that was it.

Leakers!!

As they bravely run away from leakers...? :)

First day of Desert Storm, that really happened. Since Prowlers couldn't turn on all their music in training (home folks like to watch TV I guess and have benefit of other electronic conveniences), nobody knew they would be basically NORDO when they did. As a day strike package supported by 2 Prowlers was exiting towards Saudi, two leakers began running them down from behind and everyone who had SA was screaming "(Callsign) Buster, Buster!" Their HVU CAP didn't want to detach to deal with MiGs unless they had positive comms that the Prowlers knew they were being run down from behind. At the critical moment, F-15Cs (USMC flight lead on exchange tour) arrived and dispatched the MiGs so all was well. Interesting debrief to say the least.

Still a challenge today, although tactics have since improved to deal with it better, but we've said enough about that particular issue already.
