Random Griz Aviation Musings

From the ramp at 1A9 two nights ago. We completed an intense week of Flight training and an event the Air Force calls a "Flight Clinic". Bringing together our active duty and reservist Air Force pilots along with my fellow pilot rated civilians. We operated like any normal front line unit with a morning, afternoon, and evening go. Everyone took turns being the IP or the student. Although we had a couple of young O-5s that are beginning their transition training to cap aircraft coming from cC17 and C12 in this case. Neither had touched a general aviation piston high performance aircraft before. Lots of fun and lots of great camaraderie. A good way to enjoy a week of per diem. We had an assistant Secretary of the Air Force come and visit as well as a active duty three-star.
