Different guy.

I think I had just left 26 when that happened but i don't think he got a flight violation. Way I recall it was that ATC turned him around, Skipper got mad and said he was going to pull his HAC letter but was intending to give it back to him after the weekend. Our hero is so distraught that he goes home and smokes some pot. He comes back to work on Monday and Skipper says, "here's your letter back." Turns out Skipper can give you your letter back but you can't unsmoke pot. I had not heard the nonsense about vaginal transfer from a lady friend. Perhaps @squorch2 can sanity check my story.

I heard he survived the weed allegation at the wing or safety center. Any validity to that?

In some shocking news the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum in Everett WA is closing the doors. It is true that COVID-19 has pounded many cultural institutions to dust, but this is rather sad. The museum holds a Corsair, Hellcat, Me-109, Fw-190, a very rare P-40C, a Shturmovik, a Zero, DH Mosquito, a P-47, a nearly complete Stuka, and even an F-105G. There are others, as well as a host of lovely armor and military vehicles.

If I win the lottery tomorrow I’ll buy it and give rides to AW members!

Dammit. I'm honestly surprised Paul Allen didn't leave that place enough money to keep operating in perpetuity; weren't they his personal collection of planes and tanks?

Saw a video of Kermit Weeks getting a tour of the place. Looked like a nice collection. Too bad.

As for their Ju-87, it's one of those unicorns of the museum world. I only know of one of them in the US, in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

I hope some other places can get ahold of the historic airframes.
