I didn't watch the whole video but skipped around through it. It's like meeting up with an old friend who is a little older than you. You don't have that much in common anymore, but you remember the good (and "good") times.

It's also crazy that she's sitting there surrounded by a MiG and a F-117.

Fun fact...the person listed as "XO" on that aircraft gave me my first NATOPS check in the Bravo.

Some -105 love for @ChuckMK23. I’ve only flown in the back of the -105 but it seems like a great machine to fly. That said, I’ll bet those two engines are thirsty!

Tremendously fun helo to fly - sports car. Pretty tight for fit my 6'4" frame. 2 x 250C20B motors (a la TH-57). About 40-50 gallons per hour. Torque limited. No SAS. You flew it with the trim switch/cookie hat.

Question for the team.

About 14 years ago a SB2C Hell Diver was pulled out of a reservoir near San Diego. The recovery was funded by some wealthy old naval aviator on the condition that it went to the Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola. At the time it was intended for restoration. Does anyone know the status?

It’s on loan to the Midway Museum for restoration, then display. It was stored outside at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola for 14 years, and is in pretty rough shape. They said it may take 5-10 more years to restore.

Looks like someone left the liberty-mobile behind when they abandoned ship!

The 1940-41 Ford Super Deluxe 'Woody' Wagon probably belonged to the CV Commanding Officer (Captain Elliott Buckmaster)... Captain's Gig? :D
