The 'process' is very complex, the factors you can influence are very few, and you're far more likely to screw yourself than succeed when trying to game a system you don't understand. There's no magic formula or secret to it. Do your best, study your ass off, talk to the Doc if you're sick, and wear brown shoes. Maybe you'll get what you want, maybe you won't. It's all flying, it's all fun and exciting in one way or another, it all beats the hell out of working at Sears.
