Yeah, still have the scar from that one...looks like a little caterpillar on my right forearm...was playing basketball when I was 16, got clawed by someone's fingernail going up for a rebound, didn't have any disinfectant around, but had some Lysol in my trunk...the rest is history.

Are you guys the same type that think superglue can take the place of stitches?

superglue can replace stitches, I've tested this. I guess it works good on animals too.

oh, yeah, I had same prob with the running. I'm not sure if enough people have said this already, so i'll add myself to the list people who are saying that compression shorts work good for this.

Superglue totally works. I was riding my bike and fell (I was wearing a helmet) causing my glasses to cut me above my eyebrow pretty deep. Being young without insurance a friend recommended superglue with neosporin. The plus side is my scar is hardly visible, the negative side is I lost half my eyebrow due to superglue turning it into a tiny dreadlock, but the plus side is that it grew back;)

Superglue is the shiat! I sliced my finger one time with a knife...not too deep but deep enough, I just superglued it and you cant even tell now.

We're not the type that THINK superglue can take the place of stitches, we KNOW. A lot of my "self-fixes" have been a direct result of my irrational fear/distrust of doctors and medical professionals. I was fun at MEPS, and will probably just as much/little fun at OCS during the physical.

Don't hospitals use something like superglue instead of stitches sometimes?

I got my great dane neutered last year. At first the vet used stitches on the inside and outside of the sack. The dog ended up chewing all the stitches out, so the incision opened up into a little slit. It looked like my dog was a hermaphrodite, bless his heart:eek: . I took him back and the vet superglued the slit shut. After that he was good and we had no more problems.

now i've seen threads on sites go offtopic before but going from leg chaffing to dog neutering?? you gotta be kidding me.

and yes, superglue does work.

as for the chaffing, personally if the little guys are safe then tough it out. :)
