excellent, because I have that form filled out, i took a photocopy when i was filling out my paperwork before swearing in, so hope that works. that is what I was thinking though, I don't know how they can rebuke that. but if grandmaster says its in the constitution, i might be up the river without a paddle....keep my fingers crossed.

anyways, selected for pilot. gpa of 3.7. don't remember exactly what oar and astb were, but around 6's i think. if i find scores, i'll give you concrete numbers, but that was a long time ago. very active on campus and in community, played sports. i'll get my degree in business finance, but was pre-med when i applied. now that i have been accepted, i won't complete all pre-med requirements, but it was on my app. took me over a year to get final selected.

A year??!?

You have got to be kidding me? The navy must be backed up beyond all belief. So how long after your app was sent to millington did it take you to get pro-recd? And what about the time from pro-recd to final select?

a lot of times the wait is because the current fiscal year slots are filled so you have to wait for the next fiscal year(oct 1st) to open new slots.

for example, i dropped my application in april 2003. I couldnt swear in until oct 1st 2003 (this was for supply)

I imagine by now many slots are filled or getting close so many people will have to wait until next year. The problem is because of the back log they fill up almost instantly.

well, i also had to go through a lot to get a waiver for having hardware in my arm....that took a while. I started seriously researching the bdcp program and my options around last Oct. , sent in my application sometime in jan. or early feb. was pro-recd in april. did meps and prt, sent in final stuff late april. had to get waiver, final selected mid-sept, swore in oct. 1st. so, a full year from beginning to end. I couldn't officially apply until january anyway cause of the 2-year contract maximum, but all of the paperwork does take a while, as well as hearing back from hq. but, it was def. all worth it.

Damn wigs!!! It took them 5.5 between submission of final docs to final select? Ouch.... That is insane. I hope they are a lot quicker with my final docs. The suspense would kill me.

well peeps, it worked....i finally got in-state tuition which in turn will save me about 10 grand a year...holler! haha. i brought in that tax form to get things started, they rejected it and told me it wasn't enough Then I had my recruiter fax the guy my orders which stated that i was to be posted in the state where i'm going to school, and that along with the certificate of state residency worked. so, if anybody else is facing the same problem, i would try to tackle it. it will probably take a while and you'll have to jump through a few hoops (i did), but it is def. worth it. good luck. message me if you have questions or anything.

I would love to transfer to an in state federally subsidized Engineering School. Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of options. For those of us that are going to private schools, HAPPY SPENDING.
