Saving the T-37

I know of one T-2 on the market…

That's a beautiful plane. But unless a large supply of spare parts is available, it will remain unsold.
I had like 6 or 8 flights in it during flight school for BFM, of all things. Pretty bare bones jet, but it did have little pylons to drop blue death. I think they used to do initial CQ in them before the T-45.

Correct, Brett.
My Navy contemporaries did their initial CQ in the Buckeye.
However I had no clue they could drop Blue Death. Good factoid for me!

When I went through VT-23 in K-ville in late '76, we actually did air-to-air gunnery in the T-2 over the Gulf, with gun pods on the pylons. Never heard of dropping Blue Death in the Buckeye. Got 2 touch & goes and 4 traps on the Lexington.
