Im in the waiting game - Recruiter is telling me my papework has been in and done since mid October and that she is just waiting for my final select letter. Im not sure if my security clearance was done but I know the paperwork for it was submitted. Would i have known if it was done, or being done? Would an investigator have called me personally during that?

I never got called, but it varies from what I understand. Check your credit history, thats how I found out, I saw it was reviewed by a "Federal Agency" and that was the clue. I was September pro-rec'd too, my final select has been signed or is on a desk waiting to be signed, they just had a snafu with my degree completion plan (BDCP). I'd assume with no hold ups youre along a similar time line so expect your FS soon. Then again assuming often gets me into mucho trouble :). Good Luck.

I remember during one of my last visits my OR saying something to tune of, "ill know when your letter is ready to be signed, but I cannot tell you until its signed" which i figure from reading these forum's is BS, b/c it seems people are being told and my recruiter just doesnt want to deal with me until the end. Which is fine, I understand, but it would be nice to know things are moving along. Do you have a date yet? I assume since your BDCP your graduating in May and looking for a summer OCS class? Im not collegiate so im hoping for a quick class date but fearing the worst which is another 6 months waiting.

I actually received my final select letter! My OCS date is 13 MAR 2010. I look forward to seeing some of you guys there.

Dang, 5 months from pro-rec to OCS date is pretty awesome! I'd be pretty excited if I can get an OCS date sometime in FY11.

I need to get in touch with my recruiter. I got meps done a month ago and already have a clearance and haven't heard anything from him yet. Hopefully I can class up with you guys.

Definitely do. I had my MEPS paperwork and background check questionnaire done by the time I was pro recc'd. I called my recruiter a week after my pro rec and he was able to get in touch with whomever pushes through that paperwork. Within a couple days he called me saying everything is done and my FS is sitting on Big Navy's desk waiting for a signature...and gave me a tentative class date. I'd definitely stay on top of it, though, with the holidays coming up. It'd suck to wind up in FS purgatory for the next few months because Joe Blow figured he'd deal with your mess of paperwork after his vacation.

Got in contact with them. No word yet, just told me to hang tight and study the OCS gouge until they come back with the final select letter. Hopefully it comes quick.

I'm in the same boat. Pro-recced back in September, still waiting on the FS letter. I'm getting a little too used to the whole "Hurry up and wait" method, lol.

Hey all. Just got my tentative date of March 13th! I'm stoked.

I did want to pass along to you guys though that there was a bit of an issue. I was calling my recruiter every other day because it took a while to get ahold of him. I just wanted to confirm that all my paperwork was done after my pro-rec. He said yes and then called me back two weeks later to say there was a problem with my MEPS paperwork and I had to send all the stuff to him that I had.

Just make sure as best you can everything was submitted properly! Good luck guys.
