Folks seem to have an intuition about Fridays. Why is this? Fridays are the days that companies hand out pink slips. In the political arena damage control leaks are released on fridays when the news cycle slows. The weekend is a buffer that lets people get perspective and simmer down after receiving bad news.
But why not Wednesday? Do people feel that "by the end of the week" deadlines are more likely to be issued by supervisors? What is the reason for people thinking that Friday is more likely than other days?

Why not Friday? The reality is any day that is not a holiday, or weekend, is pretty much possible.

Actually, I'm starting to think that our results won't be released till January..... because that December board that's supposed to happen is the actual board for all packages since May......

The IDC board I was picked up on a cycle or two ago actually did get their results on a Wednesday...so you could be right
