Yup I'm still waiting (to confirm the pro Rec N).

Obviously I have no more sense of urgency. I'll just ask him to schedule me another OAR. Oddly u only got a 55 on it, though I heard
It was easier than the AFOQT, which I absolutely killed.

well, from what I saw it is the opposite, I have guys come in to take the ASTB who had done quite well on the AFOQT but they only did average on the ASTB, this was before the ASTB-E

I got my phone call about an hour ago~ time to retake that OAR! I'll see you all in March (but wish me luck on January USAF boards)

retaking the ASTB isn't going to be a game changer for the boards, you need to do something to improve the meat of the application, you may get lucky and numbers increase so you are in the "Y" column, but why just hope for that, look at what else you can do.

140 some pages of anticipation, questions, frustration, impatience and hope. Then concluded with a few pages of misery, crushed dreams, disappointment and some elation for those selected, with continuation of impatience, frustration and hope for those who still haven't found anything out.

What would you recommend then? I reviewed with people that got picked up and I ether had what they had or even better in some cases. The only thing everyone trumped me on was my low OAR score

I have seen many picked up IDC with OAR's in the 40's, but they had also had other things like leadership or community service or other things that made them stand out. the OAR is just a score it is the other things that make the board say "this will be a good officer"

start a masters, get involved in the community, etc....

I have seen many with very good stats never get picked up and a 10% selection rate used to be the norm, so this isn't that out of blue as far as selection rates.

I remember seeing a board debrief (sent to recruiters to discuss metrics of candidates selected) posted here after the reserve DCO IDC board convened. Does the active duty board do the same thing? I'm sure a lot of people are curious how the selections were made.
