SMA COPT-R Questions

I'm the OIC of the COPT-R program. I'm creating this thread as a place that Student Military Aviators can go to get answers to their questions about how COPT-R works. If you're considering COPT-R, or you're curious what it's all about, this is where you can hopefully find your answers. So ask away. I won't say there aren't any dumb questions - over the years I've seen way too many people prove that assertion false - but I will promise to answer them anyway.

For current or former aviators - Please respect that. This isn't a discussion about the merits of COPT-R or how it could be better. There are plenty of other threads that are doing a very adequate job of covering those topics, if that's what interests you.

How long is training at the Helicopter Institute in Fort Worth? Also, are you seeing that students are going into advanced much better prepared than their T-6 counterparts?

I know this is a little broad, but can you provide your perspective on the pipeline? Do you feel that it benefitted you to go through COPT-R and did it have any bearing on the platform you selected after completing advanced?

@Gatordev thank you, but I think @FlyNavy03 started a new thread so that people wouldn’t have to sift through a bunch of information that wasn’t relevant to COPT-R. I never actually found a direct response to that persons above question about COPT-R.

That’s why I’m asking my questions here.
