Any SWO/ED selects picked which schools you are going to? I just submitted mine for ODU with a double major in electrical and computer engineering with a minor in naval science. Was only 3 more credits and I had to have a full load that last semester anyways.

Anyone else having trouble with a degree plan from SDSU?

I got accepted into SDSU and am having some trouble as of late in getting an approved degree plan. The first one they sent me didn't have one of the summer semesters, and the second one took away units from my final fall semester to meet requirements for the summer semester. Both were rejected by STA-21, and the college is at an apparent standstill on my degree plan until a STA-21 coordinator contacts them, even though I outlined the requirements for them.

I am currently deployed and will be until late December, after the 21st deadline for degree plans to be submitted.

Any suggestions?

yeah...keep working on it. If need be, talk to Ed...they can still cut your orders to NSI without a degree plan.

I went to SDSU yesterday and spoke with Jessica Nunez, she said they would have someone in admission contact Pensacola to help clear up the degree plan problem, I'll check back tomorrow to see if the situation got corrected.

No prob! All you have to do is recontact SDSU and have them email you a corrected degree plan and your golden.

It looks like Bumed has processed some physicals. I turned my physical forms in on the 29th of October and my status changed from "Pending" to "Qualified".

I called the STA-21 detailer a few days ago and he said that he has about 10 or so orders that he is trying to process by early next week...

It will probably take a little time....I have heard 10 to 15 days from Ed, and also consider it's the holidays, and most commands will probably shut down today until after the New Year.

Exactly. Unfortunately, there's going to be a 2-week hangup until standdown is over.

My recommendation? Go have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and enjoy the break!
