Understood. Up until about a month ago, I hadn't clean shaved since 2009 more than 10 times. Clean shaven is something I'm trying to get used to, so I'm assuming general irritation wouldn't be qualifying for a chit.

Another note in case people were wondering. You can attend OCS while still waiting on your security clearance. I've been going back and forth with the investigator for over a month at this point, but my OR confirmed that I am still good to report in a few weeks even if it hasn't been adjudicated by that point.

As far as I can tell the investigator has been calling them directly for information. He has also come back and requested additional contact information / clarification multiple times. Note that for IP I need to get a TS/SCI so it makes sense.
To answer some of the questions that were floating around...
For context, usually in the morning you are very limited on time (unless you wake up before reveille). You'll hear the call at 0500 and post out in the hallway for muster and then you'll only have about 10 minutes to get dressed and ready for PT. This gives you time to shave, but not really time to shower. Most of the showering is done in the evening after chow once things settle down.
For shaving, if your hair grows fast, consider bringing a manual razor and an electric. I know a few guys who would get a good shave before bed and then touch it up in the morning with the electric. Seemed to work out just fine.
After evening chow, there aren't really many events going on. This is the time that people spend shining boots, prepping uniforms, studying, writing letters, showering, sweepers, etc. You'll do a passdown where you'll meet as a class (or company) and do the section leader turnover and talk about any relevant information too. Taps is at 2200 and I think technically you're supposed to be "lights out", but plenty of people stay up past taps if they have more studying or prep to do.

I wonder if I could skip a "meditation class" and get some extra PT or study hours. I feel the extra PT or study hours would provide a greater benefit than meditation.
Damn. Wasn’t a thing when I was there in 18. Interested to see if that’ll stick around or if this is just some random thing the LT wanted to do.

ROM would be the 2 weeks prior to your class date.
What is the rooming situation like currently? Do we get a roommate or are we in rooms by ourselves? Do we need to bring cleaning items for bathrooms? Is toilet paper provided? What do we wear on the day to day if we only bring one civilian outfit to OCS? Do they still give you a pair of running shoes?
Normal rooming situation pre-COVID was 2 per room with a bathroom inside the room. The room is connected to second room via the shower area (2 showers for the 4 people in the suite). TP is provided. Day to day you’ll wear a combination of issued uniforms including PT gear, NWUs, or khakis (later).
