Gimme a break. The entire sport originated in Canada and was their national sport from their founding until 1994. That is right, lacrosse, not hockey. In 1994 the hockey mafia wanted a piece of the action. Now lacrosse is the summer sport and hockey the winter sport. Still lacrosse outdraws hockey. They love it so much they started the indoor (box) game so they could play in the winter. Box is popular where I live because it is so hot in the summer. So your outdoor field lacrosse is, was, and always will be a cannuk sport, one of the few great things Canadian's can lay claim to.

I know, box lacrosse just doesn't have any long pole defense, which is my position, so I'm bitter at them and thus focus my rage on the Canadians.

OK. I can buy that. One of my sons is a D pole and is thinking about trying box. He doesn't know how he will do. Then there is my other son, the goalie, who thinks the extra gear box goalies wear looks pussy.

Sure did. :)

I remember when they beat Navy in '04 - it was a fantastic game and I was rooting for SU (it being my school at the time). A big part of me thought the academy boys "deserved" win however - many of them were deployed soon after. =/

If you discount 1990 (cheat year) Hopkins is one up on them, otherwise they're tied 9-9. Cornell has several championships as well. Lacrosse ain't football but it's OK and much more fun to play then a lot of sports. It was mandatory to take in Jr. High when I was in school.
