SWO BOARD 17AUG20

Update: my recruiter just called me and said no official results, but he was digging around to find any info. He mentioned a prospective class date of 24 Jan, which leads him to believe I’ll get a Y when official results come out, but didn’t say where he found that date. From what others are saying, sounds like PRIDE is where he saw it.

So, still nothing official.

Just saw your stats in your signature block... February must have sucked for quotas, because your stats aren't bad. We're pretty close (you have a higher OAR). I'm a little worried, not gonna lie... Best of luck to you this time <3
It was like 33%. I think they took 100 out of like 306 or something like that.

Yikes. I only took my OAR once. I was told by multiple people not to risk taking it again, especially since SWO "was picking 'em like hotcakes". If I don't make it, I'm going to seriously regret not trying again for a higher OAR. I believe in submitting your absolute best, but I was so close to the submission deadline for April that it would have been risky. Hopefully my GPA shows a little academic competency lol :p

There were people with OARs in the 60's and degrees in engineering that were getting ProRec N. February was MADNESS.

What! What were they even looking for??? I'm over here with this low OAR and a degree in Cyber YIKEEESSSS... I missed that board because I prolonged my last semester. Maybe it was a good thing haha

Nobody knew. I remember distinctly seeing a person with a 2.7 legal studies degree and something like a 42 OAR that was picked up - that was seared into my brain for all time. No disrespect intended to the candidate, mind, it just really clearly illustrated the futility of trying to understand why decisions were made. We just can't know.

That's a little less stark than I remember. I think part of my just mentally made it into armageddon so I wouldn't think about it too much.
