Id imagine not that bad because they are going to need people. But i could be wrong.

well last time it was pushed and pushed again, then finally a board was held and it was brutal, all those applicants were just waiting so it flooded the board.

Well crap. I feel I'm gonna hit my crossroads where I have to reenlist or get out before I even get a chance to actually make it. If I reenlist, I lose the ability to even apply for SWO.

Hey guys, my account just got approved recently and I have been lurking on here for a while. My application was rejected in the Feb 10th board so I retook the OAR scored a higher score and resubmitted for the April 20th board. But it ended up being canceled. So like many of you here, I am doing a dual process and currently in DEP program since January 2020. This journey has been a long and arduous one and yet there would be another 4 months to wait. I hope everyone gets the result they have been hoping for in August. I can’t imagine what will happen if the August board get postponed once again...... life is hard, and not quite fair sometimes ...

Do we need to resubmit our package for the August board or our package in April would be transferred to the August board automatically? But I do want to make some improvements though (like getting more LORs)

If you are a civilian go through your recruiter for the answers to these questions.

I can only speak for active duty our packages are going to the August board and we can make updates to our packages up until the board convenes in August per Mr. Celestin

well, my recruiter still told me he hasn’t got words about postponing as today...lol so there is no way for me to discuss this with him

So despite some of us not hearing from our recruiters. It is confirmed that the board is not held?

if so does that make the august board more competitive as half a years worth of applicants would be piled into one board?

There are so many unknown variables in this given situation:
There is what we know - The board has been cancelled and all applicants from April-June will be boarded in August.
What we don't know - How many applicants will apply and how many slots are available for selection. Did the quotas from the last two cancelled boards roll over? If so, will the selection rate be higher? are the applicants who applied for April going to board first? will there be a cut off of how many applications they are willing to receive? Are they going to update the schedule to inform candidates who are hoping to apply in June that there will be a August board to save wasted time and energy? Should we just wait and see how this plays out?
It took over thirty days to make the decision to cancel a board? so who knows how long it will take to make an administrative change.

you may have not seen the post I am speaking of as it was many months ago, however SWO filled their quotas for FY 20 much earlier than they thought, so those that were selected on the last board that should have been filling the remaining FY 20 spots were getting dates in FY 21. If past history tells us anything it would be reasonable to believe that the board will be more competitive.
