Hence why I said that's the only thing to really brush up on. I doubt anyone in the still knows General Orders and Code of Conduct or, more accurately, I'd say everyone active duty knows them, but doesn't know the order and doesn't I now verbatim. It's all common sense in the long run.

Also, what exactly did you mean by the "big boy rules" of green side? Because I really hope you're not under the assumption that blue side cares about it's sailors.
At the blue side some do, some don't. The 2 commands I been at the green side does all the time, it is literally like working at a civilian job. Everyone calls each other by first name, from 3rd class to officer ranks, nobody throws people under the bus and everyone knows their jobs. No micromanaging or staying until 4-5pm while there is literally nothing to do, you do your job you go home. That is what I mean by big boy rules. Part of the reason I want to become an officer, to actually take care of the sailors while obviously accomplishing the mission.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. It initially sounded like you were saying "big boy rules" as an insult to other communities with regard to with ethic, competence, importance and difficulty.

Been in 12 years and still can admit when I need to review things I may not have retained or looked at in quite some time. Just trying to put my all into this it’s a rare opportunity to be a mustang and I want to prove I belong.
It pays to be a winner, that's for sure. No need to prove anything to nobody though, you already did 12 years, accomplished a lot and now selected to be a SWO. Just do your best and get the respect of your sailors for being a great DIVO/DH and hopefully one day a CO.

My name wasn't on that memorandum at all, so I'm in that boat. Emailed my OR this morning asking for an update on the SWO board application. His response was "results haven't been posted yet, hang in there." Are we seeing the memo first before some ORs or is he just blowing smoke up my a$$?

You sure you were signed up for FEB board? Maybe you are actually up for the April board and that is why he said that? If the results were posted here and many ORs already told their people of their selection, he should of received the results as well unless he just ignored the email or never got it due to a mistake somewhere. Show him the results that were posted a few pages back and make sure you were actually signed for FEB and not April. If your name is nowhere to be found on that list, your package never made it to the board.

If you weren't on the memorandum that is available in this thread on page 7 or so, you most likely were not at board for Feb 22.

If your OR is saying results haven't been posted and you were at board, he's full of crap because the results are already official and out for Feb 22 SWO board. I received a phone call from my OR at 9:30PM last Friday saying results were public and I had been selected.

I would bet you were signed up for April. Especially if your name was not on the At Board list.

I wasn't on the page 7 document either. I was under the impression that I was applying for the February board. I'll reply with more info.

Yep. My first and only choice. Whole packaged was geared for SWO. We finished the package the week of the deadline and I got confirmation from my OR that NRC received it in time.
