Having yet to do anything truly useful for my squadron, I still must second Bunk's comments. Sure it's not the "glamourous" flying of the tactical guys, but the small things to me make it worthwhile. To most distinguished visitors to the boat, the Cod is their ambassador to the Navy. Last weekend I had Mekhi Phifer from ER take MY picture in the cockpit. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I'm looking forward to this next month when some MLB players are coming out our way. And so the straight and level flying may be a bore, but the mission is quite rewarding.
