$1200 is going to put you into a higher tax bracket?
Plus 2 kids plus hubby hitting O-3, YES $1800 will believe it or not.
I just can't decide which industry needs my help more - the snowboarding industry, the scuba diving industry, or the gun industry...
None of those, the porn industry, hands down.
Yeah, but I think after $600 of porn I'd be so blind I'd lose my flight contract.
If thats the case, consider putting more money into his TSP or opening a traditional IRA to offset that gain if possible.
Actually, you won't. This is considered a rebate, not income, and it's not going to show up on anyone's W-2.
Come on you guys, this isn't rocket science and they just did this a couple years ago. There was no scandal and no calamity. Everyone just settle down.

Send me the money....tell the IRS that I am responsible for the taxes on your rebate (why would they tax you and tax money they are rebating.....its a REBATE)
WRT tax brackets....you want to be in a higher tax bracket....that means you earned more money which means you can paint your white picket fence a lighter shade of white, buy more Jimmy Choo shoes, and get mroe pedicures.....gentlemen, handle your finances.

And that was exactly the thinking of President Bush's Tax rebate plan, but it was criticised for leaving out 30 million households that earn income but not enough to file taxes(?). So instead of giving the 100 million tax payin workers between $800-1200 rebates, they struck the deal you see here...How is it that some people -- who don't pay taxes -- get a "tax rebate"???
