I think those are DCUs. (The caption also mentions 5th Fleet, so DCU pants + flight deck jersey makes enough sense.)

I've seen DC-10s and B-747s do that. There is a metal pole that gets stuck under the tail to prevent it.

Flight deck personnel on CVNs don't wear khaki DCUs unless they are normally "khaki" wearers.

Saw the same thing in Cubi when Pinatubo blew. C-130 and a MAC charter L1100. That ash gets heavy.
