I keep zooming in and thinking the one in the background is an F-111. I know it isn’t, but the way you captured the turn really shows the similarities of the two models.
The picture posted is of the VF-201 flight line with the VF-202 flight line in the back. In the olden days of great reserve flexibility my father commanded both VF-701 and VF-703 at NAS Dallas. Both squadrons initially flew the North American FJ Fury (I’ll try to scan some pictures). 701, 703, and VMF-111 and 112 all got F-8’s in early 1964. My father retired from the reserves just before all the squadrons at Dallas we’re redesignated VF-124D1 just long enough to be de¬commissioned in 1970 and redesignated VF-201 and VF-202. By 1975 or 76 most of the jets in the picture were shipped off to the Philippines.
I believe both reserve squadrons eventually flew F-4’s and then F-14’s. Not sure if they made it to the world of VFA.
I flew against both squadrons flying both the F-4 and F-14. 201 made the transition to 18's but 202 didn't and was deactivated in Dec. '94. 201 was deactivated in 2007.

It's a joint reserve base now. The only Navy squadron there anymore is a VR (airlift flying the C-40/737), but there is a smattering of flying units from the Marines, Army, USAFR, and ANG, along with lots of non-flying cats and dogs.
NAS Dallas was decommissioned in '98. It is now the Grand Prairie Armed Forces Reserve Complex. Most all of the Navy units, including VR-59, have transferred over to JRB Ft. Worth. Last time I stopped by in 2016, looking through a chain-link fence, I took this picture of the old main hangar which housed the maintenance spaces for 201, 202, the admin & ops spaces for 201, and Base Ops, where I worked the 2nd time I was stationed there. Much of the former "admin" part of the base is unrecognizable and has either been demolished or rebuilt as National Guard, Army and Marine reserve facilities. Most of the ramp and taxiways are basically used as an industrial complex by the city of Dallas for storage of all kinds of crap. I believe the runway can still be used if necessary by what used to be Vought.
