Hmmmm ... a Bölkow 105 ... 'rigid rotor' ... never 'liked' them.

I was doing a Part 135 D.O. gig between airlines when we lost 3 guys at Addison Airport (Texas) while they were checking out on the damn thing for a new Air Ambulance contract ... new contract = new HELO -- but it was windy and a heavy gust picked them up while turning downwind and tossed 'em upside down.

They were all hard time, experienced Vietnam combat vets ... former Army guys ... all high time ... all in HUEYs or LOACH's ... all GREAT guys ... all dead.

And after all they'd gone through ... what a useless loss.
