Stennis to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F/A-18 flight. This jet is headed to VFA-106 and will keep the anniversary livery for a while.

Shortly thereafter the base XO's phone blew up with noise complaints. Very cool picture.

The F-15's from Elmendorf that operated out of NASNI over the past few weeks have been taking all the heat for noise...and the F-35 is twice as loud as they are. (+9db).
