Ma'am, I think it must be almost a uniform for former aviators and aircrew now. I wore practically the same outfit to our local fair's military day on Tuesday. Jeans, G1, checkered shirt and boots!

Holding down Ft. Dunkin' today without ChuckMK23...got my trusty CWU-36/P NOMEX as well as my two plastic Timex watches that I purchased at the NASNI NEX in the late 1980's/early 1990's. The Timex on the left is a mechanical hand wind and the Timex on the right is a quartz. If I remember correctly, those plastic Timex watches cost about $10 -$20 each.

Gay Bruce aka "Flying Faggot", and "Winged Footed Whacker" - when HC-4 Det 1 was redesignated HC-6 in 1967, a squadron patch was soon produced with Greek wing footed warrior design "Charger". The patch has been the source of homo-erotic humor since inception. I heard the design was popular strictly because it was the first and no one produced anything better - 6 stars were added, and the rest is history. Squadron started with a mix of H-3's UH-34's, and later UH-46A's.
