Random Griz Aviation Musings - on page 1055, you can see retirees arguing about the pricing and paint accuracy on the last T-6B available for public sale. Flight school ensigns are amazed that people actually got in the airplanes they were flying "back in the day".

T-45C Replacement will still be discussing the latest edition of the RFP (ver. 78-E), still on indefinite hold for Congressional review after Anduril lodged a protest for not including drone replacement options. The requirements now include Mach 3 capability, sustained turn performance of 9.3g at 25,000 feet, and mission duration of 8 hours to support triple-cycling redair due to the instructor shortage. Base price must be $12 million or less per jet, and the USN is demanding simulators for free.

Flight School Experience: when the going gets tough - discussion surrounds which office chair is the best for visualization techniques. One enterprising SNA is offering a subscription to his "jet sounds" channel to help add realism to flight school events. Everyone is jealous of the one guy who got to fly a clapped-out Block 3 Rhino during CORTRAMID- the only remaining two-seater has been down for maintenance for ten years.
