Yeah, turns out the NRD CO waited over a week (until the last possible second on the last possible day) to talk to me, and then just decided he was going to send it up the chain to Millington without approving it, so it looks like I will be waiting until the April boards. The joy of the Navy recruiting process is incalculable.

I'm in the same boat as you, man. Sucks.

The Navy is like the last hot girl at the bar at the end of the night, even though you've been talking to her all night and have awesome game and everything going for you, she has like 10 other dudes lined up and already has 3 boyfriends, so she'll still get by when she leaves you behind.

Haha, best analogy ever. My new recruiter, who is surprisingly busting his chops big time to get me into the November board, told me he has one last trick up his sleeve that MIGHT get me seen by the board, even though my package wasn't technically complete by the deadline. But I'm not going to hold my breath about it. Good luck with your attempt at the hot girl.
