I am currently a senior, with one class left after this semester that I am registered to take this summer and graduate in AUG

So are you trying for BDCP? If so, your time is running out at lightspeed and trying to game a best time to apply works against you. If not, it seems others have applied to OCS before graduation? May want to contact directly to see which recruiter has it right. Irregardless, doesn't mean you can't get your ducks in a row to be ready to apply in either circumstance.

I am not going for BDCP, as I feel I have a better chance going directly for OCS (if possible) for the said reason of it running out so quickly.. by the time I am able to re-apply, I will have already graduated (or days from it).

I don't believe in waiting for "the right" time. If you want your application in by May or June I would definitely start the process now. If something happens and you don't make it then you can always re-apply. Best of luck.
