On the flip side of the P-3 brief...Here is one of our typical briefs: "Your leg, don't F*** it up, any questions??" "Nope" "Before start checklist"

And once airborne it was set condition 1, sit back read a mag. Watch weapons drop outta bomb bay. Sit back down, turn on final. Listen to pilot screw up callsign and ID us as "United flight..." instead of Navy lima xray...Land and have to hear over my headset, "AO3, don't forget the honey pot." Ugh...

In my day, the flying AOs took great pride in their ability to cook great meals for the crew using only the convection oven and a crockpot. Good cooks...err...aahhh...I mean AOs....were keepers.
