As part of the Marine Corps’ 250th celebration, we are working to ensure we add EVERY Marine F/A-18 aviator we’ve lost, whether in the aircraft or at any time during active service, is remembered. These names are being painted on a special F/A-18D that will travel to Marine 250 events across the country in the coming months.
I'm coordinating with VMFA-112’s staff to gather the most complete list possible, covering the period from 1982, when the first Marine Corps Hornets entered service, to today. This is about telling their story, carrying their memory, and making sure their sacrifice is never forgotten.
We want to make sure we don't miss anyone. If you have information, records, or names of Marines who should be honored, please let me know here or reach out so I can get the updated list to the squadron before the paint scheme is finalized. S/F
