Hello everyone
It's been a while since I've posed on here but I'm glad to be back. I'm currently serving active duty in the Marine Corps and am applying to the Enlisted Commissioning Program for this upcoming summer class
Everything is done with my physical except I have a question regarding something brought up on my eye exam today. They found a retnia Degeneration in the back of my right eye. I didn't even know this existed and it hasn't affected my vision because I'm still 20/20 and 20/10. I was told I would need a waiver for it
Everything else on my flight physical is perfect and I don't have any other health waivers. I've read through the NAMI waiver guide and it's not very specific on whether or not this is disqualifying with the fact that I passed everything on the eye exam with flying colors.
Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this in the past, and if my chances of flying are pretty much gone or I'm just fine. Is NAMI strict on waivers regarding these cases?
Good to be back again, thanks for any info!
