I was not selected neither for 1825 and 1835. The recruiter said that it's only 25% of selection rate across the jobs. Also, next year will be more competitive due to low quota.

Congrats to who gets selected. Your profile has to be very great.

My package:
3 letters: 2 from O6, 1 from GS14.
Currently working for Navsea as a cyber team member to support a whole detachment at Bangor, WA. Prior counterintelligence investigator for IC entities.
Master's degree in IT management.
Prior service with 3 years active duty and 5 years reserve. Still in the reserve as E6

This is my 2nd attempt with Navy

Congrats to those selected.

To those who weren't picked up - if you're serious about this, don't give up.

I had a primo package. To the point that my recruiter's CO called me after I didn't get picked up on my first attempt, saying that it'd be shame if I gave up and didn't try again.

It took me 3 cycles of attempts to get picked up.

You can have all 10s, stellar resume, and killer letters of recommendation written by Admirals Rickover and Nimitz themselves and still be passed over with no solid understanding of why.

If you're serious about it, try again.

Thanks, already planning on it. Recruiter is just waiting on when they release information for next board.

Totally agree with this sentiment, took me 4 cycles, with numerous times getting all 10 appraisals, and admiral LoRs in the kit.

Thats right, hang in there. The reason you didn't selected the first 2 times is because your competition is with people the same caliber as you, and thats not a bad thing. When you have at least 10 people with identical credentials, competing for 5 spots, the 5 that didn't make it are left shaking their heads. The following year, you start back at zero, so you don't get any credit for finishing up in the top 10. You just have to keep at it if you really want it. For some people, its not worth it, and others it is.
